AJ (Beijing) and Natalie (England) met on the streets of Beijing.
This film explores their unique relationship and has a touching
ending as Natalie meets AJ's parents during Chinese New Year. |

Harrison and Jehanne 刘利年和翠翠Belgium 比利时
Harrison (North East China) and Jehanne (Belgium) are pillars in
the Beijing design community. Harrison grew up during the Cultural
Revolution where his larger than life personality was picked to
perform acting and opera in the army. Jehanne chose 15 years ago
to devote her life to oriental art and left her privileged
upbringing to move to China. They live in an ancient Ming dynasty
temple where they transmit their unique philosophy to their children Genghis and Noor.
Besides their regular crafts in filmmaking, furniture design and jewelry
design, they work together as a living bicultural bridge in their
interior design studio where they create lifestyles for people to enjoy. |

Jiří and A Qin 伊瑞和阿覃Czech Republic 捷克
Jiří (Czech Republic) and A Qin (Guangxi) are painters living in the
new art community of Songzhuang, Beijing. They sat next to each other
in art school, and since one fateful Chinese New Year in A Qin’s hometown,
their two worlds became one. Jiří speaks in fluent Chinese as he talks
about how, because of his child and wife, he challenged his previous concept of freedom. |

Michel and Qi 米歇尔和范琦France 法国
Michel (France) and Qi (Beijing) are retired but live a dynamic and
energetic life along the beautiful coastal area of Brittany, France.
Their quirky and humorous personalities are expressed through Qi’s
discovery of another culture and their close relationship with their children. |

Koldo and Kitty 歌舞和杨紫伊Spain 西班牙
Koldo (Basque) and Kitty (Hebei) left the daily grind of the big city
to live the simple and natural life in Guilin. They live a slower life
where they rock climb, swim, hike, and play with their dog Yoshi.
But to arrive at this point was not easy, both had to change their
own way of life to begin their new one. |

Chris and Fufu 克里斯和付莹Denmark 丹麦
Chris (Denmark) and Fufu (Beijing) share their newly-wed life and what
helps them manage to stay together. Chris moved to Beijing to work at
the Danish Embassy and met Fufu through church. Fufu manages her own
Taobao shop and played in the rockabilly band DH & the Chinese Hellcats.
Their future and dreams are wide open. |
